There are tons of features at this year’s show, including the inaugural OCAP Developers Conference, the iHollywood Mobile Boot Camp, the Cable Game Arena, and more. One highlight you may not be focused on is the 8th Annual Supplier Diversity Connection Workshop, organized by the Walter Kiatz Foundation. These workshops are held throughout the year, including at SCTE’s Cable-Tec Expo and during Diversity Week in New York. These workshops provide a forum for cable industry participants to exchange ideas and build business relationships with the minority and women-owned business community.
New this year, the program will take place over two days and will have two tracks:
- Track 1: Breakout Sessions for Women and Minority Business Enterprises (WMBEs) who are interested in building business relationships with the cable industry.
- Track 2: Breakout Sessions for procurement officers and other commodity professionals interested in improving or building a strategic approach for integrating supplier diversity into their company’s supply chain management process.
Panels will include a mix of representatives from within and outside the industry, such as Time Warner Cable’s Glenn Britt, Comcast’s Stephen Burke, Cablevision’s Tom Rutledge, Shelley Stewart, Jr. of Tyco International, and Michelle Johnson of Home Depot. You can download a PDF of the agenda at the Kaitz website.
