After the success of CableCares, we are bringing back CableCares for community service work in Washington, DC.

This year’s CableCares initiative will focus on donating time, materials and financial support to help improve Washington, DC schools and the community. In partnership with Comcast, CableCares will leverage the resources of the cable broadband industry and the goodwill of Cable Show delegates, many of whom will participate in volunteer activities. NCTA is also working with City Year Washington, DC – a national community service program for young people – in organizing, funding and recruiting volunteers.

As of March 31, we are still looking for some volunteers for the Sprucing Up Schools Project at Truesdell Education Center. E-mail Melinda Schwartz at mschwartz@ncta.com if you are interested in volunteering.
