One of the highlight of this year’s show floor is sure to be the Game Arena, which you can read more about here. As you probably know, gaming is a huge business, with revenues larger than those for theatrical films. Cable’s broadband pipe has a role to play, allowing users to play games online, download games to their set-top box or PC or hook their gaming console up to the Internet and do networked gaming with players around the world.
Here’s a little sneak peek at the bare bones of the Game Arena, taken today. As you can see, there’s not much to see. As is usual for these events, it’s almost as though a city is created from nothing in a few days. Next thing you know, there’ll be a Boat Show in its place.
